For individuals prone to a great deal of anger and rage, tolerating such violent and overwhelming feelings can be extremely demanding and in cases where they cannot be overcome can lead to damaging and sometimes devastating consequences. For people who have rarely or never felt much anger or rage, it may be a sign of bottled up emotional stress and the consequence of an inability to express or voice healthy anger and reinforce position, authority and esteem. Either way anger is an extremely powerful and important emotion, and one often relegated to an inappropriate feeling.
